Review by Joe D’Angelo
The 2018 Prince of Hearts Red is a wonderful showing in this vintage. As it unwinds in the glass, it releases inviting aromas of blackberries and crème de cassis, laced with sweet violets, spices, and crushed gravel that all take shape beautifully. The palate is medium-plus bodied, with gorgeous velvety tannins and lovely overall finesse and balance through the finish. While this is a pleasure to approach in its youth, it should also go on to offer years of drinking pleasure as it evolves over the next decade and beyond.
